There are many advantages to group work. Clients report feeling connected to another person’s process and can be astounded by similarities between themselves and others. By watching someone else move through a process which mirrors our own, we can see that we are not alone and that there is always another way of looking at any given situation. In addition, on a practical note, group work is much less expensive for those on a restricted budget.
Body Image Group – October, 2017
Do you complain to yourself and others about your body? Do you judge and criticize yourself? Do you wish your body looked somehow different from the way it does? It does not really matter whether we judge it as being fat or thin or short or tall or ugly. If we are judging our bodies then this can affect our self esteem and our level of confidence and self assurance.
Join us as we take a look at these concerns and fears and consider new ways of looking at our bodies. We will also uncover what we are making all these judgments mean about us and correct these beliefs. The benefit of accepting ourselves the way we are is enormous and can affect us emotionally as well as physically and spiritually.
I am keeping the group small and will only accept up to 8 people.

"I wholeheartedly recommend therapy with Christie as it allows you to be who you are and recognise how and why you feel what you feel, why the negative things you think about yourself are not true, and how you can look at the situation differently."
"If someone else was in my place from last year, I would say "Do it for yourself. Knowing yourself and loving yourself is a blessing. It is a gift that is beyond price and Christie will help you get there."
"The most important thing I´ve learned is how to wrap my arms around the little girl who needed help and to tell her (myself) that her innocence is untouched and her spirit remains whole and strong no matter what."
